<about me>

My name is Maria, and I work as a language teacher and digitalization guide in Skövde, Sweden. This gives me the opportunity to combine two things I am passionate about: education and IT. During my almost thirteen years as a certified teacher, I have taught students at all imaginable levels and feel right at home, whether it's playfully introducing a new language to middle school students or guiding students through the most advanced courses in high school.

In addition to being a teacher, I am a college-educated web designer, which includes everything from graphic design to object-oriented programming. I am particularly interested in areas of web design that prioritize the user's needs, thus intersecting with pedagogy, such as interaction and UX design. At the moment, I am in the process of bringing it all together by pursuing a Master's degree in Applied IT (Learning, Communication and Information Technology at the University of Gothenburg). I plan to complete this project in 2024.
